From a cultural perspective, infanticide has been considered the practice of uncivilized peoples. I posit that how a society treats its most vulnerable members defines whether or not it is civilized.
People watch Fox News or MSNBC or CNN not because those organizations are the best, most accurate sources of news in all, or even most cases, but because the way they report the news corresponds to how those viewers perceive things to be.
Of more concern to me is the elevation of religious liberty to a mythos of which Christians should be wary. While our Founding Fathers enshrined religious freedom into the constitution, our Savior did not.
While no reports indicate any known court martial or disciplinary proceedings related to evangelism, we also know that the time for clarification and protection of religious liberty is before such rights are taken away, not simply after they have been.
